Il guardiano degli innocenti - Andrzej Sapkowski
3.6Punteggio Totale

The Guardian of the Innocents is the first book in the Witcher saga. The first in chronological order (and not publication) is a collection of seven stories with which the Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski introduces us to the world of Geralt of Rivia. I bought it when I started watching the TV series on Netflix and I admit the premises. That is that – serious I know for a fantasy fan – I was completely fasting with Sapkowski and Geralt. The Guardian of the Innocents helped me. The vision of the series that I liked while leaving me perplexed, was facilitated by reading. How to say guys, I broke the ice thanks to the pages that made me orient better. Geralt of Rivia is a witcher. Taken from his family as a child, he is a mutant trained (hard) to kill the monsters that populate the lands of the conflicting kingdoms in which you travel. Meeting a witcher is an increasingly rare affair, but in the world of The Witcher, they are not heroes who face evil to save everyone in view of a magnificent happy ending. In fact, the witcher gets paid to kill monsters who threaten a village, a kingdom, a house. Those who hire him are afraid of him, he is considered a dangerous mercenary, even if Geralt responds to his own ethical code and if men with lies and domination plans are often worse than the monsters they want to get rid of. In this collection we know Ranuncolo and Yennefer the sorceress, we know Geralt, Nenneke the priestess. To read to immerse yourself in the world of The Witcher and to understand some choices of the TV series.

About The Author

Email:
